Welcome to THE DOWZER PROGRAM, North America's newest children's fire and burn prevention program. The program is applicable for children of kindergarten age to grade six. THE DOWZER PROGRAM is a critically acclaimed, experiential learning program that combats a leading cause of death and suffering among children while reinforcing the curriculum based objectives for Health, Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science. It is a FULLY APPROVED teaching resource, backed by government agencies and leading public service organizations.

The Dowzer Program requires minimal preparation time. It comes in a 10 piece, self-contained DOWZER ADVENTURE PACKAGE. Students begin by reading THE ADVENTURES OF DOWZER story book. This fast paced, emotionally charged and visually moving storybook introduces children to DOWZER and gives a unique lesson in fire prevention and survival. The entire text of "The Adventures of Dowzer" storybook is recorded on CD with sound effects to enhance the learning experience. Children are taken on a heart-pounding adventure as Dowzer faces a raging fire, saves a little girl, and has an enlightening near-death experience. After reading the storybook, children complete The Dowzer Case File Adventures. Eight exciting and emotional scenarios follow children who have faced fires and burns through dangerous but ultimately positive experiences. Each case file is followed by a case report that summarizes the pertinent details of each scenario, and then Dowzer is called in. He helps the children in each scenario to take action.

The characters contribute to the resolution of each scenario, learning how to deal with situations involving fire and burn hazards. Each case file includes a do-able mission that both reinforces the lesson and makes the child's home safer.

After completing THE DOWZER ADVENTURE PROGRAM, your students become part of a powerful force for fire and burn prevention. They can be registered in a web-based program that reinforces what they’ve learned. They have an opportunity to win prizes as well as make their own contributions to this program with Letters to Dowzer and Dowzer Artwork.
